Fence design project that marked an important stage in my early design career. The process included developing various plant genotype patterns and integrating them into the design, as well as carefully considering the urban context—particularly the alignment of the entrance panel with the adjacent Tivoli building. The project reflects a thoughtful balance between aesthetics, functionality, and the surrounding environment.
From urban context to entrance detail
The angle of the opposite street of the Tivoli building determines the angle of the panel at the main entrance to the Botanical Gardens. Such an example of contextual reference shows that elements in an urban environment can be in harmony and interact with each other, although the ordinary observer does not see this at first sight.
